Prior to launching 360Production, John was Editor of the BBC’s multi-award-winning flagship history programme, Timewatch for six years. He commissioned and executive produced 70 episodes of the strand, with average audiences of over two million. John also pioneered the brand’s launch into online with hits like Bloody Omaha and Stonehenge Live. He also oversaw series like Nuremberg – Nazis on Trial, and Wild West. Previously John was also an exec for Granada and Scottish/GingerTV.
John is now the creative director of 360Production, based in Derry and London. 360 means exactly what it says on the tin, so John and his team have spent the last two years making bold landmark TV series like Making History for Nat Geo, Dig 1940 for BBC1 and Digging for Britain for BBC2. Currently John and his team are trying to transform WW2, and how we tell science on TV, online and on mobile.
