Katie Newman

Katie Newman is an award-winning producer who has worked extensively across the development and production of television drama series, feature films and digital media. Katie began her career working within the Feature Film Story Department at Fox Studios Australia and, since moving to the UK in 2002, worked for Carlton and Shine, before spending six months in Kenya with the British charity, Mediae, Producing / Script Editing the Kenyan series, Makutano Junction. Katie joined Impossible Pictures in 2006 and is responsible for a slate of high end UK and international co-productions, working with partners in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Germany and Australia. Katie was part of the creative team that secured the commission for Sinbad (Sky 1), worked on Primeval (ITV) as Script Producer / Co-Producer, and was the UK Producer of Primeval Evolved (winner of an International Emmy Award and BAFTA nomination for Best Digital Series). Currently, Katie is the Executive Producer of the North American Primeval spin-off: Primeval: New World. Katie has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Film and Television Production from Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
