Steve has worked in the animation and television industry for many years where as Art Director, Producer and Director he has been involved in countless projects including the multi award-winning series Albie, Foxbusters and Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka.
Having designed everything from the Discworld Universe for Channel 4 to Rupert the Bear’s return for Channel 5, in 2007 Steve created a series of animations based on the drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci as an integral part of a major exhibition of the artist’s work at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Having previously replaced missing episodes from a 1968 Patrick Troughton Doctor Who adventure with animations, the BBC invited Steve to look at animating the current incarnation of the time travelling hero. With this aim in mind and, after many years of working together at Cosgrove Hall Films, Steve joined up with the hard-core Doctor Who fan Jonathan Doyle, formed Firestep and made Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest.
Steve’s ongoing passion for taking animation into areas outside its comfort zone has been aided by many like-minded development partners in recent years, not least the QI company. But he has finally found a home with Impossible Pictures.
