T-Rex – A Dinosaur in Hollywood
Made to coincide with the celebration of his 100th birthday, this is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the biggest film star of all time – T. Rex.
Made to coincide with the celebration of his 100th birthday, this is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the biggest film star of all time – T. Rex.
Made entirely in the style of a celebrity biography, this film charts the 10 year journey from obscurity to the icon of popular culture that he is today. Fictitious ‘behind-the-scenes’ archive of T. Rex on set and interviews with co-stars like King Kong are created as a way to tell the story of how T. Rex’s image has changed with time – both culturally and scientifically. This is an entertaining and visually clever celebration of what is arguably the most famous and important fossil ever.
Among the contributors to the programme are the renowned stop motion artist Ray Harryhausen, who featured the dinosaur in his film ‘ Valley of Gwangi’, and Ariana Richards who played the young Lex Murphy in Jurassic Park.
